INNER-CITY suburbs have continued to drive the property rebound, with weekend auction clearance rates racing ahead and house prices increasing 20 per cent.
Eighty per cent of homes going to auction were sold, with almost double the number changing hands compared with the same weekend last year, according to Australian Property Monitors.
In Sydney, 64 per cent of auctioned properties were sold, with 231 homes changing hands, up from 189 this time last year.
